STOP MISREPRESENTING US- GONGOLA PEOPLES FORUM GPF CAUTIONS CRITICS
Claims by a user of social media platform Facebook, Auwal Hamza, that anyone who joins Nigeria’s new coalition party the ADC, automatically becomes a member of the Gongola People’s forum GPF, are not only mischievous and misleading but utterly false.’
The GPF through its PRO Elder Patrick Anyom in a response, described the claim as a deliberate attempt at misrepresenting the organization.
The statement said the Gongola People’s Forum, rebuffs the unsubstantiated claim, which it describes as unfounded.
It stressed that, GPF is a socio-cultural organization that is non-political and non-partisan and therefore, not synonymous to any political party whether now or in the future.
The forum, reiterates that its primary goal to unite the over 83 indigenous ethnic nationalities of the Gongola valley domiciled in Adamawa State. for the singular purpose of asserting their rights to self-determination economically, politically and culturally.
